![]() “What is surprising is that no-one seems to have a bad word to say about the ProSelect package” this process takes more time and involves no small amount of selling skill from the photographer. Everything is in one place and it’s quick and easy to navigate. However, ABOVE: This is the main hub of ProSelect, where selection, adjustments and all other features are housed. Having a dedicated viewing area and then inviting your clients back to make their purchase face-to-face will increase your profits… fact. The things I’m prepared to do for Photo Professional and its readers! So what is ProSelect? It’s universally accepted that sales increase when clients are not left to their own devices when ordering up such things as prints or frames, perhaps from an online gallery for example. Quickly! However, in the interest of an open mind and also seeing as how SO many fellow pros sing the praises of ProSelect I signed up for a long term test (three months) to see if the software could live up to the hype. So I will be honest when I say that when I first went on the ProSelect website and saw ‘Want to impress your clients and increase your sales?’ on the opening page my heart sank. Most seasoned pros just tend to ignore the call or delete the email (well at least I know I do). We’ve all heard it before and we wearily assume that it’s just another hard sell designed to extract more cash from us. In the current economic climate many companies claim to be able to increase your sales, maximise your profit, and pretty much turn your life around in one fell swoop. I have to admit that the old adage that states that ‘if it sounds to good to be true then it usually is’ sprang to mind at this point, so I thought it was about time I delved a little bit deeper. Quite the reverse in fact, since many of my delegates appear to be almost evangelical about its ‘magical’ powers. ![]() What is surprising in this case, perhaps, is that nobody I have spoken to seems to have a bad word to say about the package. I could not even find a phone number for this company to try and speak to someone on the phone. There are many other programs out there that are way more affordable, easier to use and have a really responsive and helpful team of support. Honestly, it's the first time I've run in to such an unhelpful company since running my business. Instead of coming a place of empathy and understanding, they just care about the money. It's a LOT of money wasted on my part and customer service does not care and is not helpful at all. However, after watching a few tutorials and still struggling, I was not able to learn the program and it's features. ![]() With my schedule, I was unable to take advantage of the 30 money-back guarantee because I had hoped to learn the program. This program is really complicated to use, even after the mentoring session, which I didn't find all helpful because there's only so much you can go over in one hour.
